Costal Artillery

Post by trutyjoh »

Playing the Overload scenario and am getting absolutely killed (like 7 out of 10 units killed by CA-- it is now turn 4 and I have lost the equiveants of 3+ divisions while on sea approaches... and yet when I load Marauders and Thunderbolts ... 1 -4% - if I am lucky.
I understand that coastal artillery is deadly but having a hard time accepting the devastation (i get that are pre sighted in etc) but they seem way too powerful.
How do you knock them out ... Oh Yeah they already sank two battle ships and a few cruisers...

Not sure which scenario you are talking about. Maybe provide the exact title and where it can be found. Also, maybe check here, it might be the one:

Sorry - It is Overload 44 10/1/2018. Saw the forum comments... seems as if the designer considers Costal Artillery that powerful... Would love it see the documentation to support it... . Just move on to another scenario...

I think you misunderstood. There was a change to TOAW after that scenario was designed, so the design could not be faulted. It was updated in the thread that I linked for you. You should DL that file, it plays different. Get rid of the original file, or let it be over written.
