Europe 2022

Post by josant »

Attached is my new scenario, I made it as a test of modern warfare.

It covers Europe, North Africa and Middle East at 15Km/Hex scale, it is the biggest map I ever made (119.837 Hexes), The time scale is 1/2 Week.
The scale of the units is set to battalion level

Due to the high complexity, there is not program opponentt, The scenario is designed to play two player (hotseat) or play by email. And due to the high number of air units is preferible to dissable de air assistant.

The installation notes are in the .zip file

Thanks for the new scenario.

I'm not a fan of huge maps nor scenarios without AI but I certainly appreciate the effort that has gone into creating this.

This is great, thank you for your hard work and effort!
One small question - its 400 turns long (200 weeks/4 years of game time) - whats the thinking behind having no replacement rates for all equipment except trucks? Im surprised there isnt any replacements at all, even if just 1 per tunr for missiles and artillery, and the AFVs currently in production.....

Hello everyone,

What a work ! Impressive.

I'm going to playtest this, I only did 2 turns yet: OOBs are pretty accurate, the map is awesome.
A lot of naval interdiction but it's absolutely manageable for a NATO player.

I'll update my test in a few weeks :D

I've gotten started on this. I love the scenario. Going to attack everywhere and activate everything. One thing I noticed so far is that the group of backfire bombers up north is a ship Icon that's landlocked so can't do anything.

Since I am bedridden after surgery, lots of time.
Looking into modding ... Attempting a Russian PO version. Doing away with theater options for reinforcements, nukes and chemicals.

Aha, something I'll have to look into.

Reinforcements via theater options will occur on variable turn range, question of building some unpredictability into the scenario.

First of all, I am slowly on the mend but still some way to go.

Bit too many units to set up a workable PO, so I decided to drop this project.
Working on a Redux of an old scenario "Edelweiss 1942"... Original in French with only designer's initials given.
Gonna be playtesting it PBEM soon.

Next to Global 1939-1945, this looks like my favorite scenario. Another one I wouldn't want to play 1v1, but rather have several players.

This looks like a fantastic multiplayer sandbox, capable of simulating any number of scenarios. It's a question of what war. BTW I'm playing World at War 1939-1945 now 1v1 and it's fine.

He's now starting turn 4. I'm playing Ukraine /Nato. I'm willing to pick up a partner if someone wants part of Nato. We can exchange .sal files. I'm pretty busy with Ukraine. But he invaded 2 weeks early and is using Belarus troops. Unlike under Biden the USA won't be the shaky gun.
