CMO v1.05 Update - Build 1307.8

Post by Dimitris »

Download: https://www.mediafire.com/file/pl3nk553 ... .8.7z/file

How to use: First, have in place a working install of CMO v1.05. Then, unzip this pack on top of the installation, overwriting the exe and other files when prompted.
Always backup your existing Command.exe, just in case.

Build 1307.8 Release Notes (changes from B1307.7)
=======================================================

* ADDED: Added new map layer: OpenTopoMap. This is a map layer optimized for displaying natural topography (see also: https://opentopomap.org/) . This can be useful for better evaluating the terrain around a given unit (and thus better understanding visibility, movement and damage effects). This layer is externally-provided, so tile-download reliability and speed are beyond our control.

* More performance improvements when using the "land-cover effects" scenario feature.

* TWEAK: [INST]: Add speed and altitude to file
* TWEAK: Tweaked INST to handle hosted units better
* TWEAK: [Lua] Made errors clear for interactive use

* FIXED: [Lua] GetMissions - allow name or guid as input
* FIXED: [B1307.7] Error in Exception Handler pop-up
* FIXED: New Ground-Unit Contact being classified in "New Contact" category instead of "New Gound Contact" message window tab
* FIXED: #14910: Units not Obeying WRA
* FIXED: [B1315] Exception Error

Just making sure 1307.8 installs over 1307.7 and not the 64-bit 1315.1, correct?

I was waiting for an hour to download the new patch and my web broswer dismissed the download due to a threat from a virus.
Why you choose mediafire? Why?
I tried downloading the file using two different browsers. Same result. Virus

I downloaded with Microsoft Edge, Windows 10, no issues.

The new Open Topo map is absolutely brilliant, makes it so easier now to very accurately position things. I can now locate a persons house, or work etc who I have a dislike too, make it a target and carpet bomb it with a B-52 strike just for a bit of satisfaction.

Now with this map, I can look at it and search for features to use as targets when creating scenario's. An excellent update.

I have now opened up a scenario I created a long time ago and looked at it on the TOPO map, I was very surprised how accurate I had placed locations like Airbases, most were smack on, but those that were not, was only about 500 yards at the most out so a quick simple move relocated them. Their were some oddities though, like command posts in the middle of rivers, but once again, they got relocated onto dry land.

This Topo map, will now be my map of choice.

I am running v1.05 Update - Build 1307.5 (the update that came out with the Command Showcase – Ford Class). I just want to confirm if I am ok to go ahead and load Build 1307.8 directly, or do I need to load 1307.6 and/or 1307.7 first?

Extract the 1307.8 zip in your CMO folder installation, and replace all. Don't need .6 and .7

You do this too? It's nice to know I'm not the only one! :D :twisted: I like using Project Thor for this.

Can you turn on radar on this version? Surface radar doesn’t seem to work?

The file hosts we normally use have began a very annoying habit of auto-blocking zip packs that contain executables, as a "security" measure. (They don't actually scan the exe, apparently). So for the time being we use hosts that don't do this. If you have a better alternative in mind, we are all ears.

You can also use downloading tools like JDownloader.

Could matrix host the files?
