Decline and Fall

Game crashes when I try to proceed from setting up Japan. Here is file.

Is this scenario supposed to be working?

When I loaded your game I got the following message:
File not found: C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\World in Flames\Scenarios\Decline and Fall\Map Views\1left.SLY

Then I got the message:
Since the SLY file stored within the saved game file was not found, the program will use New Game.SLY, and if that file is not found, the program will create it.

The map shows Blizzard everywhere, even in tropical zones. This is quite odd. In any event, when I press Done for the Japanese setup it crashes.

Not sure what is 1left.SLY, but it needs to be added to Scenarios\Decline and Fall\Map Views folder.

Then I started a new Decline and Fall, and it crashed at the same point. So, that scenario is not usable on 5.0.0.10.

Yes, it is supposed to be working.

I am pretty sure that I set it up before release. If I recall correctly I set up all campaigns at least once before release.

Not sure what is 1left.SLY, but it needs to be added to Scenarios\Decline and Fall\Map Views folder.

The *.SLY is a personalized Map Views, and it is no thing if it is missing. It is stored on the local computer, and not included with the save. The program just set it to a standard map view when it is not there when the save is loaded.

The blizzard weather is working as intended. See picture below from the setup instructions for the campaign.

Thank you for the responses. If we can't play Decline and Fall but want to get as close to end of war as possible, can you recommend a scenario which will work properly?

We played Decline & Fall scenario two times, using MWIF 3.2.0.0 and 4.4.1.0 respectively. The small differences in functionality compared to 5.0.0.1 are neglectable, especially so late in the game, which is running for only 8 turns.

Thank you. We are running 4.4.1 and can't make it through setup......I'm not sure how you got yours to work?

Same here. The game simply gives a Mad Except after ending the Japanese set up. Fatal bug.

I think, we started still under 4.2.3.2 and updated soon during the first turns.
