Old Campaing Series Help?

Hi I haven't played in years and I can't seem to remember a lot of stuff.
I was trying to play West Front today for the first time in 10 years. I remember a menu at the top of the page with File Help etc. When I open a WF scenario there is a menu of game functions at the bottom of the page but not at the top is there something I need to do to get File Help etc. to show up? I can't figure it out so there are a lot of things I can't do like save a game.
