De-selecting ALL scripts on a new game

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

De-selecting ALL scripts on a new game

Post by Jorgito78 »

Like I mentioned in some other posts, I am relatively new to SC and, although I seem to have managed to learn enough of the game to be successful to some extent, I am on my fourth playthrough as the axis in the 1939 Scenario, which I will try to finish  this time. Anyway, I was wondering what would happen if I de-select ALL (or at least the majority) of the scripts for that scenario when starting a new game. Will it enhance replayability (like the AI doing unexpected things instead of the "expected" same events that happen in this scenario on each playthrough) or does the AI become passive rendering the game unplayable/very easy?

Of course, I plan to try other scenarios but for the time being I am still a little overwhelmed by the number of things happening on the 1939 Scenario, let alone the others...

Can't really say what the effect would be as I've never read of it being tried. Seems like it would make the game more staid and simple, I don't think it'd produce any surprises from the AI. For the most part it'll just maneuver the pieces around in the same way it already does.

Probably some events wouldn't fire, isn't it?
