Moin Bavre. Ich hab beide Spiele gegen dich aufgegeben. Du bist einfach zu gut, ich kann nichtmal erkennen wie du die Aufklärungsarbeit geleistet hast. So weiß ich nicht, wie ich davon lernen kann. Siehs als Kompliment, du bist irre gut. Du brauchst richtige Gegner.

Yes, there are a few tricks about scouting and fleet movement.

It's a WW1 thread, so ignore the mines and trenches stuff, but the rest works for both WW2 games, too.

To get into the finer strategical and tactial things Duedman's youtube channel (in german) is also a helpful:

@bavre: ich hab das Kursk43 szenario modifiziert. Im Grunde soll daraus ein wenig Panzer General werden, mit den zusätzlichen strategischen Möglichkeiten von SC2:
Italy moral is much higher, Soviets don't get Tier 3 infantry and its much much much harder for tanks to conquer a city. Its also much harder for tanks on hills and every unit has a much bigger disadvantage for attacking over rivers and it takes more action points. Germany got more light infantry to defend France and Italy also. USA now has Tier 2 infantry from the beginning. Russia and Germany got several light artillery.

Hättest du Lust und Zeit das mit mir zu testen? Kann aber auch komplett Grütze geworden sein, weil ich den Editor zum ersten mal benutzt habe.

Ich eröffne 2 Spiele, Passwort ist Bavre. Also falls du Bock hast, einfach joinen. Wichtig wäre hier die Mechaniken zu testen.

That's not how this works I'm afraid. When you modify the game, it is only available for you in single player. For multiplayer both sides need to have the same mods installed, otherwise the game can't be selected. Those are the red games you'll sometimes see in the lobby.

The goal is to get a Panzer General/Panzer Corps feeling with the strategic possibilites of Strategic Command.
If everything works as intended tanks should be useless to conquer towns and have it much harder in tough terrain like hills, forests and swamps. In open terrain tanks are now better versus infantry. Rivers are a big advantage for defenders. There is a lot more artillery. UDSSR can't develop Tier3 infantry. Germany gets cheapest possible infantry to fight partisans. Italy has 55.000 morale and more infantry. France is better defended with cheap infantry. USA gets Tier 2 infantry immediately. Unit limits are adjusted.

it works Single Player and Multiplayer. if someone wants to try this test version, unpack the file and copy it to \documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe\

Wichtig wäre, dass als Testspiel zu sehen. Ich bin sicher, dass es es noch Ungereimtheiten gibt. So ganz verstehe ich die Editor-Einstellungen nicht immer. Z.B. habe ich Artillerie auf Tier 2 gesetzt, aber man kann nur max. auf 1 upgraden.
Das wichtigste wäre: Städte sind für Panzer nur unter extremsten Verlusten zu erobern/verteidigen. Angriffe über Flüsse sollen schwierig sein und Movement über Flüsse erfordert viele Bewegungspunkte. Hügel und Berge sollten ebenfalls von Panzern gemieden werden müssen. Alle Einheiten sind auf Stärke 10, manche verschoben und upgegraded worden. So kann man sich direkt auf seine Strategie konzentrieren, statt ständig die selben Sachen bei Spielstart machen zu müssen.

Oder kurz: Auf offenem Gelände soll Infantrie ein gefundenes fressen für Panzer sein, in Städten, Wäldern, Sümpfen und auf Hügeln/Bergen umgekehrt. Flüsse sollen richtige Widerstände für den Angreifer darstellen.
