5.0.0.10 very slow when moving land units

Post by juntoalmar »

Hi,
I installed recently version 5.0.0.10 (Debug) after getting a recommendation for doing so after some other bug I experienced in version 3.2.0.

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 0&t=402938

The problem I have now on 5.0.0.10 is that the game freezes for a few seconds (5-10s) when I select or move a land unit. The mouse cursor changes to the "Window's spinning circle icon" as if the game was "thinking". The game is not broken, but it's almost unplayable out of desperation to wait everytime you move a unit. I'm playing a solitary game.

I thought it could be related to supply when changing ownership of an hex, but moving a unit within the hexes owned by its country is slow as well.

Is anybody else suffering from this? I doubt you guys are playing with all these game breaks.

Thanks in advance,

Are you playing with isolated reorg on? If so, try disabling it by left-clicking (I think, if not, then right-clicking) on the optional rule.

Of course we have, there are a bunch of these comments scattered along many posts.

It seems to affect specially to those using Isolated Reorg, but I am not positive it hasnt happened to me playing without it.

Some people just cannot play. For some others the problem is lesser. In my recent game, we only suffered these issues when we were moving units in Asia, where supply is always more complicated. Each tiny move sometimes took like 10 secs to be made. Really nerve breaking. Thankfully it did not always happened or we would have had to quit.

No, that optional rule is not activated.
