airport and port attack

Post by josemanuel2804 »

Hi guys
Playing as Japan
I'm attacking Chittagong in India with ground troups
I was supporting the attack with aircrafts performing ground attack
I changed my strategy to attack also infrastructures and ordered my aircrafts to perform airport and port attack
Since then my aircrafts are not moving anymore
What's wrong ? what do I've missed ?
Thanks for helping

Most likely reason for planes not performing missions is bad weather at source airfield or target area.
Check the weather.
Double check you have the correct base targeted, planes are set to correct mission etc.

Otherwise, you should see them resume attacks when weather improves.

Thanks for the answer, I'll check
However where performing ground attack they perform missions always
Does it mean that the weather check just applies for airfield and port attack ?
Thanks again

Weather can affect the ability of aircraft to operate at both departure airfield and target hex. That includes ground troops. Heavy rain, Thunderstorms and Severe Storms are worst weathers. You don't say how often you have tried these various attacks but if you just started it is possible that your initial attack on troops occurred in acceptable weather while the subsequent attacks on Port and AF were WOXOFF (canceled by weather).

If you are using different squadrons and aircraft types for those strikes that can change the attack likelihood as well. KB pilots are very skilled and aggressive so they will most likely take off in bad weather and carry out an attack. Land based IJ bombers may not have such experience, skill or leadership. And if the enemy has put up a strong CAP over their troops or base, unescorted bombers might not fly.
