Collapsing Vichy in Missed the Bus

So... I collapsed Vichy on my first move in the 1940 start scenario and was shocked to find the USA lost all its chits and then some... The USA now can never declare war on Germany.... this seems a tad odd...

The trouble with the wording in the rules as written is they are quite specific they say FRANCE aligns …. They don’t say the countries align with France. The subject in the sentence clearly indicates that France is one doing the action. When you take out Poland, the POLES align with the allies. Strictly speaking the program is behaving according to the rules as written. It just so happens the rules are silly
