Though I'm drawn to very large scenarios such as FITE (see my previous message about a FITE 2 match), I know that the FITE scenario is a heavy time commitment and / or intimidating for many. Therefore, I open up the call for a match using any scenario. In fact, you can pick both the scenario and the side. Let me know.

Hey, Axialon6, good to see you back on the forum.

I came across an article about how the Officers around years group 2008/9 at the US Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies in Leavenworth developed the new Design concept for the Army’s planning doctrine. You mentioned you graduated from there when you were in uniform. Was it then that you were there?

Anyway, it was interesting how Design was pulled into the overall idea of Operational Art.

Well, I am open to a match. I always learn a load when battling against you.

Yes, attended during that time. Big Army directed SAMS to study Design, which originally came from the Israelis as Systemic Operational Design, and determine how best to integrate elements of Design into the Army’s planning framework- Military Decision-Making Process - and later figuring how to pull it into Campaign planning at the Joint level.

We worked it hard and it was a great experience. Now nice to see current U.S. doctrine strengthened by Design thought. And cool seeing for nearly 20 years of playing, how TOAW’s game engine is well-enough built to replicate Army / Joint Op Planning principles.
