JTCS 2.03 UPDATE - Turn Counter

Post by Jason Petho »

With the pending 2.03 UPDATES for the JTCS, one of the things being looked at is removing the 2 turn warning.

Do you prefer to:

1. Kill it!

2. Keep it!

3. Have the turn counter kept, but warning removed!

We received green light from Matrix to compile the 2.03 executables for a Public Beta, including the "white screen" hot-fix from Matrix tech support.

With That, there was a chance to add a couple of small changes to code. I edited the Victory Dialog to allow for larger values, that will go in, too.

As for the Player Alert "Number of Saves Exceeds Two" / Command Report no of saves counter thingie: a similar poll in place at theBlitz.club, the vote there was 8 votes for no changes, and 2 votes for killing the Player Alert save warning while keeping the turn counter in Command Report.

Not many votes, but this is an old game. This poll, and theBlitz one totals as 8 votes to keep things the same, 5 votes to ditch the Player Alert pop-up, and 2 votes to ditch both.

I will leave this feature as it was. Thanks for voting!
