[1728.2] Flawed air to air combat behavior

The post aims to understand better the logic of an a/c in air to air combat.
1. Press V to switch to unit view
2. Focus on the F16C (The Gunners #5) flying close to the border of Italy with Slovenia below the border of Austria (no other friendlies north of it)
3. 9.8nm at its 12 o'clock is a Su-27 heading north (#6813)
4. WRA for AIM-120A for the Su-27 class is 1 missile at 75% of missile range with Self Defense Range set at 15nm. Behavior Crank and Drag (I like to keep my distance)
5. Let the play run
6. Observe that although the Su-27 turns towards the F16C, practically begging for an "In-your-face" Fox-3, the F16C disregards its Self Defense settings, shoots Fox-3 against another Su-27 further east #6812 (when the latter enters into the 75% range) and ...gets into trouble with the closer and seemingly easier target.

Any reasonable person would dispense with #6813 first. And I believe that is the purpose of self defense: To prioritize a closer shot when within set range
