Supply

Post by almeath »

May I ask if the supply system will be re-worked?

While I agree that cities should provide supply, I always found it unrealistic that (in Russia in particular) you could have units hold out in isolated cities indefinitely. During a multi-year campaign in Russia you could see city garrisons in central Russia just sit there and remain at full strength as if they had unlimited supply.

I understand the logic of coastal cities and ports holding out when they can trace supply lines to other ports, or cities that can trace supply to the Russian supply sources on the edge of the map - but not cities that can hold out forever despite being completely surrounded and in some cases hundreds of miles from help.

Is this something being looked at? Perhaps isolated cities should slowly deplete their supplies, just as isolated units do the same.

Excellent point, thanks for raising it.
