Unplayable MegaCampaign

Post by gdrobinson »

just purchased (for the Secondtime)the Lost Victories MegaCampaign for SPWAW7.1.
Installation of the MegaCampaign: Lost Victories ended with three errors as follows:
Could not move file(s): File #3 line 3
Could not move file(s): File #3, line 6
Could not move file(s): File #3 line 9

After the auto reboot, I tried to enter the MegaCampaign and Lost Victories DID NOT appear on the selection menu.

How do I get the game working?????

Based on support submissions I checked the install path to the version of 7.1 that I have and it was C:\Matrix Games\Steel Panthers World At War\MegaCam\Lost Victories\. I did check and found that the Install had created and populated a Lost Victories directory in the MegaCam directory. Thus I believe that my path is and was correctly set (space and all between Matrix and Games).???? What else to do?
Gary

PS: I'd give meself a cool handle like whitetiger but the only handle I have earned is "Opps I killed the game!".

Lost Victories Install Probs

Post by Jacques »

I had exactly the same problem...

I cured the install problem by backspacing through all of the sub folders after Steel Panthers World at War...

i.e. C:\Matrix Games\Steel Panthers World At War

However, the three same file errors did still appear. I have been able to play the entire first scenario, so whatever file #3 is has not affected my gameplay as of yet.

This problem did drive me nuts for about 12 hours, but the Campaign has been great so far!
