Charitable offer

Post by STEELER13 »

Yo All,
Welcome back to Matrix and all the visitors. In case anyone missed it, last month my lovely wife Patty and I offered to burn a copy of SPWAW 8.0d(you then use true update to update) and mail it to anyone in the US.
In exchange all we ask is for a minimum $10 donation to either:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
http://www.chop.edu/consumer/index.jsp
or
Disabled American Veteran's association
www.dav.org

my email is steeler13@comcast.net

Let us know if you are in need of the cd!

ps. $10 is minimum amount I recommend...you are welcome to donate more...
PSS. I do not work for either organization. My 14 year old niece had bone cancer and then leukemia in a 3 year period. CHOP was fantastic in her recovery. DAV has just always impressed me with the work they have done and I try to return a little to the men and women who sacrificed themselves for our country.
Thank you!

Thanks for your generous offer, Steeler. The players and your favorite charities all benefit, so you're contributing to public service, which IMO every American should regard as a citizen's duty.

Yo Alvin,
Thank you very much. Of course I encourage everyone to donate if they can to the Disabled American Veterans, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, or their local Children's Hospital.

Also, for those who do need a copy of the cd, I have 4 left for this month's batch and then I will mail more on March 1st(I try to mail 15 out every two weeks). Special thanks to all who have contributed so far!

Steeler...

I am very new here, but this is a wonderful way to help out many people at once. Thank you, and I hope you are still burning these for those who cannot download it on their own (like myself).

Once again... thank you and good job :)

Yes, sir. Patty and I are still sending out cd's...just drop me an email at Steeler13@comcast.net.
The pace has dropped since mid-March, but thank you to all for the donations to DAV and the various Children's Hospitals(Philly and others).

Why DAV

Post by STEELER13 »

Yo All,
Today US troops were exposed to Sarin gas. Hopefully the effects were minimal, and the soldiers are ok. I also hope that similar WMD do not appear---I had been hoping people were right and they didn't exist because the alternative is not pretty. In Jordan and Syria chemical agents were planned for embassy attacks, and both plots foiled fortunately. But in Jordan the chemicals captured were linked to Iraq.
God Help Us All if President Bush, and Powell and company were right that the WMD did exist and Al-Qaeda was attempting to get its hands on it. But God Bless our troops who are on the front-lines.
Just so you know, much is made each day in the news about the troops killed each day(almost 600 now), but for every soldier killed there has been mention of at least 6 more wounded.
I have heard many good stories of what the Disabled American Veterans has done for the "forgotten soldiers" and that is why I asked for this in exchange for a cd.
Thank you to all those who have contributed thus far.
BEST WISHES,
STEELER

Just noticed your excellent offer. Would it be possible to request a copy of the monster download of 8.2 for whenever if happens and I'll just make a donation now?

This is a wonderful thing you are doing both for us and for two excellent charities.
