Stronghold (A New Question)
How do I start a game with the "strong debug command line"? I've found a few interesting cheat codes to mess around with but it says to start the game with the strong debug command line. Just what is that, anyway, and how do I do it?

I have played it but my 10 year-old niece has co-opted it and now has it on permanent loan!

Do you know what it's like to get an e-mail telling you there's a response to your thread like this and find you're only being messed with?
Good one, mate!

Chris, try this:
Cheatmode:
At the main menu, press Shift+Alt+A to enable cheat mode.
During gameplay you can now use the following codes:
Alt+K = Building is free, no resources are required
Alt+C = Access to all missions at campaign selection screen
Alt+X = Add 1000 gold and set popularity to 100
Extra catapult stone
If you are using a catapult and you have ran out of throwing stone click on the carcass button and choose where you want to fire then before they launch the cow press stop and they'll throw stone instead.

Stopping Bear Attacks:
When you see a bear appear or hear of one attacking, just build a wooden wall
around it and soon it will die. Or you can send your Archers to kill it, which
is a quick way of stopping bears and gaining popularity.
Destroying the Enemy quickly:
In order to destroy your enemy, place as many Archers as you can on the wall
facing the sign post. A small number of Archers can take out a reasonable size
army.

Ahhhhh! Bless you!
If this works I'll need you to send me the address where to send the beer money.

Yeah, just tried it, won't work for me either.
I tried to find how to use the strong debug mode, but can't.
I will ask my friend tomorrow and see if he knows how.

My problem is enabling the cheat codes. I hit Shift+Alt+A in the main menu and I still don't get the use of the codes.

Have you tried launching the game from a command line and adding a "-d" to the end?

Is that a DOS thing? I am not familiar on how to do that.

Well in that case just try modifying the shortcut on your desktop etc. and append a "-d" to the command line there under TARGET. Type it inside the quotes if there are quotes. Access this by right-clicking the icon and choosing properties.
I don't know if this is strong debug mode or not but -d gives you at least some kind of debug mode from what I've been told.

It (whatever the nebulous term 'it' may mean) will not allow me to add the '-d' to the target path.

Are you using Windows XP or something else? I guess I was assuming XP. Everyone of my desktop icons has the option.

Windows ME allows you to edit shortcuts and add arguments to the exe to be run, although I think you normally add the arguments, such as '-d' outside the double quotes as they indicate the path to the EXE.
