Frank, can you provide us with an update on where the game stands?....All this talk about old WWI board games has me patiently anticipating this release even more....[:)]

Ok, its still done, just requires rest of artwork and then testing.

Here are some screenshots from a recent game. I've removed the panels around the map display because that artwork is not done and the word "temporary" is stamped on them.

Serbian front, just about over, Bulgaria has invaded the south and taken Skopje. The Austrians took Belgrade and Montenegro before having to divert its troops to the Italian and Galician fronts.

May we ask for an explination of the nubers and symbols around them? If I am stepping out of line please feel free to send me to the Principals office.

Flag denotes nationality, symbol is type, bottom left corner is designation (no effect on play), the number that sometimes appears above the designation is entrenchment level, number in top right circle is strength, below that, in the box is readiness, bottom right-corner is quality (doesn't change).

Not meaning to nitpick already, but shouldnt quality change as units are burned out and new replacements are filtered in? I know on a scale that this game takes place you could make an argument both ways, just wondering yours.

PS looks great and cant wait. A very absolute day of release buy, and I dont do that at all.

Right, quality does change as replacements are added, I just meant it doesn't change as the unit goes about its day to day

Very Cool!!! Thank you very much. I take it that planning/preperation points are used to feed the replacents into units; or is it a pool that every unit draws from?

I also take it that the HQ # represent planning/preperation points left also?

Great eye candy! Can you zoom in and out and are those pics zoomed all the way in? Thanks.

Dirtdog : Theres a pool of manpower and arms that every unit replacement comes from.
And yes, the HQ number in the circle is the number of "Offensive" or "Planning/Prep" points it has.

Elmo : There's no zoom, the map is a single hand-drawn bmp.

Pumba : Hey I liked CotD :) Anyway, the two games have absolutely nothing in common and that means the AI too.
