PBEM 2-4 player game

Post by QBeam »

Ok, I've played enough against the AI to know what I'm doing, basically, so I'm ready to move on to a human opponent. Seems like the game will work well with 2, 3, or 4 players, so I'm up for any of those, but I think a 2 player game will go fastest, due to the smaller number of mailings per turn.

I'd like to start with Germany, because they're simpler, and I want to see what a human does with the Wallies. Seems like the AI is a bit careless with its transports.

I'd prefer a higher-tempo game--at least one turn a day.

I'll take the WA (or some other faction if that is taken). I prefer fog of war, advanced supply with auto supply (where you make supplies but don't have to move them places) but am open for anything. You can contact me at kenoyer130@gmail.com. I can do about 2 turns a day. I think it would be fun with one or two more players but it is up to you.

Sorry if I sound like Mr. Know-It-All, but I think if you're still learning the game I suggest you actually use manual supply, NOT auto supply. This may be especially damaging to WA player.

With auto supply game will help itself to nearest supply, even if that means reaching over transports over ocean, or from some supply source you'd rather be saving for something else.

You move something in Netherlands, whoop, game uses supply all the way from USA, and whole chain of transports is unable to move for the turn (because, once used to transport something, transport fleets cannot move). You don't even notice this until it's too late.

May sound paradoxical, but I think it is better to move supply by hand while still learning, or simply use "simple supply" rule (one big supply bucket free for all with no supply icons on map at all).

Good point. I've played only the WA with manual supply. I got it down and you're right..you do need to place it yourself to be effective.
