Historic unit names

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Historic unit names

Post by goodwoodrw »

Hi there, I stumbled across this game a night or two ago, I checked out the website, most impressed. If the game is as good as the Website it truely should a good game that will stay on my HD for awhile bring it on. installing ADSL tomorrow, so I won't have the dramas I had with D/L WITP[:D] enough rambling now for my question will unit formations be generic or will they have their historic names Gordon Highlanders, Coldstream guards 95 Rifles etc etc

There won't be many "historic" unit names at division level....

Most corps and armies start with historic names, though.

Yep most British Inf Divs were known by their commanders name eg. Picton's div etc I think. I guess what I would like to be able to do is follow particular Divisions through history, nothing worst than having generic Div and Regiment like in Cossasks2, very arcadish
