mission 6

I have been playing mission 6 (the one where you develop the x space generator to teleport you to another dimension) and I have pushed the hive back to the al asad system, where they have 4 worlds and no shipyards. However the computer is cheating, and it is getting a steady reinforcement trail of ships. I was wondering if anyone had actually defeated the hive in this mission and could tell me what happens them. (If anyone is interested ask me, and I'll tell you my tricks in doing this feat of almost beating the hive )

Hi Elric,

In the early versions of RFTS you could defeat the Hive in Mission 6, but that has been 'fixed' [:(] in the new version, but great play anyway [:D].

Regarding the Hive, I will not give anything away that might spoil your game but you will see them again.

RFTS is a great game, well worth the money glad you have cracked the combat system. [8D]

oh I have already beaten the campaign. I found out about this forum because my game kept crashing when I tried to load in mission 2 of the second campaign. I already know what happens to the hive. See, you wouldnt do what you did at the end of 6 if you beat the hive right there.
