Too late for the party.......

Post by Conflux »

... no way! I stumbled across one of MarkShot's excellent mini guides and tutorials last w/end and remembered the demo of RDOA I'd looked at a year or so ago - re-installed it, thank's to Mark's tips etc, grasped what it was about - couldn't wait for COTA and bougt HTTR... it's [expletive deleted] brilliant!! (Download worked brilliantly also)

Just wanted to say thanks to Mark because if I hadn't enjoyed his tips I would have missed out on a great game. I'll certainly be buying COTA when it comes out, and the others - mind you I think I've got a lot ahead of me with HTTR!

Thanks to you all at Panther, Matrix, and again, Mark

Welcome to the Panther Games fan club! [:D]

We're lucky to have Markshot on the forum. He posts a lot of info to keep the interest levels up while we wait for CotA and his posts always open my eyes to the depth and possibilities of the game engine.

Martin,

Maybe it is finally time to work up my nerve and when Dave comes in to work, let him know I want to renegotiate my deal. :)

Well, I am glad the guides helped you. There are a number of fine games that I now enjoy that the first few times I tried them, I couldn't understand them at all. Among those would be CMBO, RDOA, ... So, I have sort of made it my beta-testing mission to make sure that anyone who is interested in the series can find out about it in detail, and anyone who has purchased it doesn't abandon the game for lack of comprehension.

You certainly are not too late for the party - not as long as your PC can run it and you can find the patches and mods. (HTTR never had too much of an MP community. So, you didn't miss too much there.)

I, myself, if I can find the time this weekend, intend to play some Aces of the Deep (DOS - 1994) and Sid Meier's Gettysburg (Win 95 - 1997). So, you certainly haven't arrived too late at all. :)

Now, take those bridges and end the war in 44!
