Promotion of Commanders

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Promotion of Commanders

I just downloaded the Beta testing patch and I am finally getting new commanders after battles. I am playing France in 1796. I have played 20 turns and gained 6 new commenders ranging from one to two stars. I have two questions.

1. Is there any chance that I can get a new three or even 4 star commander?
2. Can existing commanders be promoted? It seems that since Davout and Lannes werer two of Napolean greatest marshals that they should receive promotions as the the game progesses.

If this issue has already been addressed I apology in advance.

All in all still one of the best computer games I ever palyed.
