Guns of August Update

Post by David Heath »

Hello

I know this game been in development for a while. Over the last month Frank commited working out the last details and publishing this game with us. I have asked Frank Hunter to drop by and leave a few posts and as of now he has not. My only answer for this is that Frank is working on the game stopper crash bug that is holding up the game.

From what I can tell by the post is that Frank Hunter did not respond to your request in any way. The assumption is that he is working on fixing the "game stopper crash." It seems odd to me that he would not respond to a Matrix Games Administrator. I hope the game is not dead.

I really doubt it is dead. A lot of work has gone into it and it would take a lot for everyone to just walk away from it.

That said, it appears that even the producers have significant challenges in prodding the developer to make public comments. I suppose there are two ways to look at this:

1. Frank is demonstrating the ability to concentrate in a uniquely unwavering way so that an optimist might look forward to the focus this title may receive once it finally does receive Frank's attention.

or

2. Updates will continue to be few and far between and there really truly is nothing anyone can do about it.

Frank was fairly frequent on the forum before he got involved with BON, so hopefully he is concentrating on getting done with that and will soon return to GOA.

A lot of people complain about the lack of progress. But i saw the early screenshots that were posted so progress has been made. This is the only strategy type WWI land game so come hell or high water i am going to buy this game WHEN it comes out

Keep up the good work!!!

PS Please just one little update[8|]

I don't know...I think the newly released Strategic Command (BFC) allows us to create user defined scenarios, to include Great War scenarios...that may be the way to go considering how GoA is languishing...
