Advanced Supply Help

I've played a few AI games and am now playing my first game with Advanced Supply and Fog of War. I find it very frustrating as I am constantly running out of Suppply and Strat Movement capability. I've only played as the Axis so far. When moving correctly, shouldn't the Axis be able to do and accomplish the same things as when playing with Standard Supply? I know it takes more planning and thought when using Advanced Supply but so far it's just frustration. Can someone give me some do's and don'ts when playing with Advanced Supply? This is a great game and I want to get the basics down before I get pasted in a PBEM game. Thanks!

Its meant to be much harder with adv. supply - so what you are experiencing is very much intended. Getting supply deep into Russia is always a major headache - while its obviously not an issue with simple supply.

You have to build more supply and you have to make sure lots of it is right at the front when you declare war. To really optimise you also should consider manually supplying troops with supply that moved up from 2 areas behind the front to 1 area behind the front so the supply on the front is not used up as fast.

Adv. supply is were the real game is!

I agree Jan, Russia is a 3 to 4 year plan. Repairing rail lines and keeping you troops supplied is a must. To cause the destruction of Soviet assets, and thier military, supply is a it...Alot of what i've heard here is Lenningrad...forget it until the 3rd or 4th year. Capture of the Black Sea ( destruction of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet ) and its resources are yours. This allows the use of the Rumainan transport, real big!...The Russian Front is like chess, control the center, and use a flank attack.
