1.801 float plane replacement problem

Post by erstad »

OK, I'm on 1.801, and I still have some Glen squadrons that have no planes and won't fill out. The new "get plane" button is greyed out, even though I'm in a port with plenty-o-supply. Wasn't this supposed to be fixed?

I haven't spent a ton of time trying to characterize this, because I thought I'd check first and see if this is a "well, yeah, we know this" problem first.

Yes, there is a problem with single plane airgroups assigned to submarines. They get their max aircraft set to zero, so can not accept aircraft. Glens are used in these airgroups so that may be your problem.

And yes, it was supposed to be fixed. I made a change in 1.8, then a correction in 1.8.0.1. Now there's a fix pending for 1.8.0.2. I may have to give myself a good talking to about this one.

Thanks for the reply. It's always good to know things like this so I don't spend a lot of time trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I love my subs with Glens too, but the use of them is highly unrealistic.

If PDU is on, try upgrading the Glen's to Alf's and then back to Glens.

All these float plane issues should be fixed with 1.8.0.2. Is anyone still having a problem???

I wouldn't normally post a "Ditto - Me Too!" but since I started the thread...
