Research

Post by Barbos »

Hi, All!

The manual reads as if one could accellerate the development of new equipment putting one (or more?) factory on research. Please let me know:
Does it work? How? Does it depend on factory, its location, capacity etc?
Thanx.

I remember the rule for the first WIR-version: per 100 units you might produce/ one week earlyer

I set all possible German factories to the Tiger production and it had NO effect. Production of Tigers had begun exactly as it is was without research. It seems not working now.

I checked this by setting all factories to Tigers in Campaign '41, and ran the game about three months, and checked the Tiger availability date, and it had shrunk, so its still working.

Just last year using the original version and playing the 43 Campaign game as the Germans I set one a/c factory to ME262's. It went into production January 44.

Strange. I tried to do that a few times, but the availability dates still remain unchanged. Probably I do something wrong?

I put 3 KVII factories ( at lvl 15) on JSIII.
They remain by 15 do to the high cost of the KVII. After a while the available date of JSIII went earlyer than JSII.
