are these "reports" open to every player? So anyone can see how close a nation is to a moral-collapse?

If it is, wouldn't it be better to have a fog-of-war like thing, or at least not-perfect info about these?

US ships sail around and cause trouble :)

they have Merchants and Privateers, plus by standings, they can go to war, only it will be a naval action, forget if they bring real ships, or just the two types

I noticed that too. Was it the Constitution I wonder?

I wouldn't expect the U.S. to play much of a role in this game.

Off topic, but, when did the US build anything bigger than the first frigates?

most of the time, they just mess with Privateers, and bring in Merchants (which can be a pain, depending on what you trying to do)

but you can get them mad at you

LOL

heck, I thought it meant  I wasn't building any :)

sounds right, now that you mention it (will have to have Gil step in to be sure, like I said, I normally just go out and kill, I don't pay attention to that supply side stuff :))

I don't know, either. That's a question for Mr. Z or Ericbabe, one of whom will no doubt wander by here at some point.

Ok, I'll wait for that answer. Another question: I noticed that the Cav. and Supply unit selected in your screenshots only had yellow or red hexes to go to. I believe only blue are safe (IIRC from FoF): does that mean most troops lose a bit a morale every turn from being in danger areas, whenever they are somewhere near the frontline?

HiHi

A Good read HS, Cheers.

Q  Can you re-embark your Amphib landings or do you have to loose in battle before troops leave as in FoF.

Yellow is the standard hex, red is threaten hex, in a red hex, bad things can happen if you fail your change formation roll, also, if your not a top of the line troop, your chances to change formation are not as good, so, in a yellow, you may be 95, in a red you may be 20-40

you can reenbark your troops, but you need to do it before combat ? you lose in combat, it normally pushes you away from that hex

so, Landings are very Risky

well, when we left, I was fighting in Spain, Sweden finally gave up, and I was able to watch the French returning to home along the coast, in massive numbers, and I see them heading towards the Spanish border (oh my)

then see the French pushing for a free passage treaty with the Spanish, while the French Grands are sitting on the border

I win some battles and am seigeing the Cap of Spain, but the Grellias are beating my supply line troops (I am winning more then I am losing)

Spain finally caves in, and I leave, just as France gets there Treaty, but too late

I pass Spain and get into 2nd place in Glory

(just in case, Glory is what the goal is, the highest Glory when the game ends win)

not much I can take from the Spanish, but, I take Sevalle in the south, I make Spain break there Allaince with France, in Jan 2008, I make them DOW on France

Turkey, Russian and the Ossties sign a treaty, to all DOW France, Russia and Prussia are still at war

and then my Intel goes blank, I lose sight of the Grands

I am hoping the French get bogged down in Spain, or head deep into Russia

then I can hit

soon, I see what I want, there are battles going on in northern Italy and Ossiteland

I set sail and land in Normady, and spot a large force of French sitting in Paris

I see the Ossites morale is dropping fast, so for my plans to work, I got to move fast

I take Normady, the Ossites are down to 45 Morale

I march into Paris, and a major battle begins, about 260,000 between the two of us, I win the battle (I got a good battle force, but not a force to take and hold)

the Ossites are down to -245 but the French are crippled

I take Paris, and the French surrender

where this was tricky, if the Ossites give up first, the Whole French Army can return to Paris, and then I got to win a battle vs a Huge French Army

setting the treaty, not much I can take, but, I get some land overseas, and will get some money

and here, I think I can stop and claim Victory, the only way I can lose, if is someone lands and captures London, and with my Fleets, nobody can cross the channel

I have a 500 point lead on the 2nd place, you got to win alot of battles to make up that lead (as you see, you lose Glory, faster then you gain it)

with my fleets and my battle Army, I can move and land almost anywhere that is needed to stop anybody that starts doing well

which that is the trick with England, they can't really project force across the Nations, but, nobody (but me it seems) can land and take out England, so they are a royal pain, HARD to play, but fun

Thanks for the AAR, HS. One more question: it might have been explained somewhere before, but what does 'Mobilization 33/33' mean (bottom of screen)?

It is a limit on manpower to limit the size of your armed forces.  It varies by country.
