RE: Stupid question regarding transfer to another PC

How does War in the Pacific compare with TOAW. I have been tempted to buy in the past when TOAW seemed to be dead. Does it model ground combat well enough or is it mostly air/naval game? Can you make new scenerios? (i assume they are limited to the Pacific theater in WWII)

Stupid question regarding transfer to another PC

<t> Apologies in advance for this (stupid) question. i am waiting for a new PC to replace my old WinMe machine but I simply can not wait until the new PC arrives to download TOAWIII. Is it possible to download TOAWIII to the old machine and then "transfer" it to the new PC or should I just wait for ...

RE: A naval companion game?

<t> I'd buy any naval expansion/variant of TOAW as soon as it comes out. I know I may be in the minority here but that is one aspect of TOAW that always bothered me. It does not have to be perfect or nearly as detailed as the land combat model just enough to inject some realistic constraints into ...

<t> you may want to know that both Trey Marshal and I have made scenarios based on the GDW series you refer to. I think Trey's scenarios were a more faithful reproduction of the GDW games. My 1988 Global Conflict scenario is based on my own modifications I had made over the years to the GDW WWIII ...

I really do think that for these truly combined-arms-at-the-operational-level situations a standalone game is required, that can take due account of the actual situation. Trying to bend TOAW to fit simply isn't going to work. [:)]<e ...
