RE: New Screenshots of Ageod's Upcoming Napoleonic Game

Looks absolutely great. Quick note though: in the third picture, Gillingham's on the wrong side of the Medway.

RE: Unit detail question

Been a while since I've played, but from memory doesn't the red box indicate stragglers? (With a number inside to indicate strength of same). Not sure what an empty red box would mean in that case though.

A large number of the resolutions shown on the Start screen don't appear to be selectable. (That said, I'm extremely pleased and grateful to see this new release!)

RE: Assertion failure

Can't offer any suggestions to help, I'm afraid. I recently played the game quite a bit with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit without any real problems.

RE: An apparent oddity and a couple of questions...

<t> One thing does belatedly occur to me on the range issue: after seeing an enemy cavalry unit fire at me from a couple of hexes away, the penny dropped that this fire must represent horse artillery accompanying the cavalry brigade.<br/> <br/> This idea that long range is actually 'organic' (in mod...

RE: An apparent oddity and a couple of questions...

Well, I found answers to my second question, while looking elsewhere in the forum. Short answer: no.

I'm still perplexed by the ranges in detailed combat though.

RE: Increasing manpower for depleted Divisions

As I'm still learning the game, I'm not sure. But I believe replacements for units with losses arrive automatically from men in your Draft. Offhand I don't know if it's possible to control the assignment of these replacements at all.

An apparent oddity and a couple of questions...

<t> I'm just starting to learn and play the game. Several things have struck me, as I've been reading the rules, and I wonder if any of the experienced players still look in occasionally to this forum?<br/> <br/> First off: ranges in detailed battles. In division level battles, each hex is 600 yards...

RE: Red manpower and red Cash numbers on main screen

I'm just in the process of learning the game and I wondered about that. Finally found the reference in the manual after a bit of searching. For economic resources, being in red means that they are expected to shrink next turn.

Likewise. I've always rated this game and I'd love to see the system applied to other campaigns.

RE: Territory matters!

<t> JeremyB: I agree; constructive criticism is indeed useful. Where others repeatedly bang on about the game being significantly broken (and it's the repeated part that perplexes me), that's not so much helpful, as tiresome.<br/> <br/> The Guru: Maybe I hit the wrong Reply button, but I wasn't aimi...
