Re: Creating a Folder for my Map Project and Extracting FC Presets

Apologies, the manual is referring to a sample QGis project and files which aren't part of the game, and didn't come with the manual.
I'll see if I can upload the sample project and files to this forum, or provide a link if I need to upload them elsewhere.

Re: High Sticking Scenario

Thanks for reporting.
Do you have a save game (preferably an early save, and a start of scenario save) that you are willing to share? (You can do so via a private message to me on this forum).

The _qgis_vector_styles folder contains that style.

Re: Creating a Folder for my Map Project and Extracting FC Presets

These folders do not necessarily go into the project folder. Whenever you need a style or template, you can simply browse to that folder from QGis.
I have these three subfolders sitting next to the project folders.

Re: Frontage options for player orders

I see that the battle planner missions have a "Frontage" setting (which I assume sets formation depth/breadth for units assigned to that mission). The frontage does not apply to individual units, but to the (multiple) groups of units who execute the battle plan mission. Scenario designers...

Re: BREAKAWAY 7

Peter, thanks for posting this AAR and providing feedback on the scenario. Nice read, good planning, congrats on the solid result. Are you aware that you can load your planning graphics as background overlay (Staff menu, mission graphics functions), to help tell the AAR story or support you in game ...

Thanks for reporting this, and even going beyond that by checking the behavior for variations of the current set-up.
I filed this as a bug.

Did you have any luck with Soviet tank gun launched ATGMs?

Re: Units relocating for no reason ?

Is one supposed to check both SOP manager and unit dashboard to interpolate what the unit might do now and in the future ? Not ideal design in my book. Please give the other means to apply SOPs a go. Either from the main menu, or from a unit counter right-mouse menu, choose Adjust SOP or Set SOP, a...

Re: Big Red One #1 - Resupply issues

this involves a helicopter going into resupply when its associated FARP is on the move Zumwalt, (Jeff), mobile FARPs are unintended behavior, due to a problem in how the game handles single large objects (requiring lots of transport capacity). We are in the process of fixing that, which should resu...

Re: Map Making - QGIS style layers

We've remained with QGis 2. It offers better integration with external map services (Google, Bing, OSM) and better import of OSM data, all for reasons not clear to me. (I did try QGis 3).
QGis 2.18 will do the job.

Re: Map Size and Potential Battles

Until the manuals are released to create your own maps, try using the larger maps that came with the game: - Erbendorf (near Grafenwoehr), 35x20km - Schesslitz (near Bamberg), 35x20km - Rottenburg, 35x20km - Kirchheim u Teck (just south of Stuttgart), 30x20km - Lechfeld, west of Munich, 35x20km - Co...

Re: Map Size and Potential Battles

Colin, makes total sense. If you leave the support forces off-map, the remaining area is close what the game can handle (perhaps slowing down a bit). For professional users, we've mapped NTC Ft Irwin (broken down in 3 large, overlapping areas) and MCAGCC Twenty Nine Palms (again, multiple areas) to ...

Re: Big Red One #1 - Resupply issues

Hi, The TOWs are taken into account as key ammo, but the game struggles to interpret the Hydra as a burst attack weapon (say 4-5 ripple fires of 8 rockets). Instead, it treats it as having 38 single rockets. So the ammo status, after emptying Hydra pods is: 8 TOWs + 0 Hydra out of 8 TOWs + 38 Hydra ...

Re: Reinforcements apperaing out of nowhere

My question is, 1. Can I do that (deploy my reinforcing troops any where I want (ın the designated deployment zones)-teleporting? 2. If I can't, does my opponent in any game have the ability to do this and why? Great questions. @1. Reinforcement arrival locations are set by the scenario designer, a...

Can you please post a screenshot of your game, so we can reproduce your game settings / resolution / window sizes as close as possible. It's not a problem we've heard about before. I also recommend doing a "Verify this game's files are installed correctly" from Steam, if you have installed...

Echo9c, thanks for providing the screen shots.

What you are experiencing is a bug related to movement across a double bridge. This was fixed recently, should be in the next beta and game update.

Re: Couple of questions

SOP Manager In the SOP manager Movement Preferences. What happens when you select both Concealment and Roads? Is it okay to do this or will it cause problems? I ask because I had two units in a scenario I made that would not cross a bridge over a major river. I ended up swimming them across downstr...

Re: Tutorial 1/2 advice

I would definitely agree that the spotting mechanism as-is has a significant effect in those cases It's not the spotting mechanism that is preventing the WP MRR companies from running through or bypassing the urban area. It's their SOP settings or the objectives set for them (by the scenario design...

Re: Unit pathing near obstacles - bug or WAI?

Is this pathing occurring since the easiest route (the highway) passes through the minefield hex and the "second best" route is actually the roundabout one rather than passing through the heavily wooded hex (waypoint 2)? The pathfinder comes up with the detour since the direct route from ...
