Another issue I noticed is that many AI pilots seem to forget they are in a 3d environment. I watched F4's chase F4's in a circle until they both ran out of fuel. My first Quick Battle, 4 F4 Phantoms vs 4 F4 Phantoms.

I tried using the update feature on the program and it informs me that I cannot update until I have updated to 1.12, but I cannot find any updates that update from 1.06 to 1.12.[&:]

Problem still remains, it worked once then it resumed failing... [:(]

I updated it to v 1.01, reloaded the prereqs and tried every variation of compatibility without success.

Attached is my dxdiag results.

I used the PlayersDB.
I also noticed that, on one test where I ordered my sub to go active it did not attack the enemy sub until I forced it hostile.

The missions was HDS 9, 01.0 Surprise in the Snow, using the PlayersDB.
The strange part is would see the Flankers land if still in formation patrol mode but not after they had been detached to intercept a target.
