Re: scenarios end too soon?

I am finding several missions ending too soon. And often well before the time is up as well. No idea why. I just keep playing. I play the missions by selecting them as standalone missions rather than within the campaign. That way I can keep playing on, and also I dont have to get a certain score in ...

Re: northern inferno first mission

Maybe try a manual attack. That way it tells you why the weapon will not launch. Sometimes it's because you need a firmer target to launch at. If its still fairly unpinned down in terms of location you might not be able to launch. Other times it might be that you are going to high or too low or too ...

Re: Sea Power

Just wanted to add here about the possibilities of 3d that we could have a 3d version of CMO with icons and the like the same as they are now but one which you could rotate and view in 3d from differnet angles with 3d terrain as well. Whether it would be much better than the game is now or worth the ...

Re: Severe lagging every full minute

It starts at 13:00:00. Just as the Cuban vessel is detected. I have run it several times. Its not very noticeable 15x time compression or lower.

Yes it definitely starts at 13.00 hrs. I am not sure its anything to do with the Cuban Ship though as that has been detected already well before then ...

Re: Severe lagging every full minute

What is interesting is the scenario was not pausing when I started it. This pausing for two seconds at every minute only started happening half way through the scenario. So something must have triggered it.

Anyway I have the save from when it wasn't happening, and I have the save when it was ...

Re: Severe lagging every full minute

Well hopefully you can get it resolved because I cant play the game like this its too annoying stopping every minute. I might just have to scrap this scenario and move on or play another game for a while until its sorted.

Re: Severe lagging every full minute

I am playing the Northern Inferno Beware of the Badgers mission and I am also getting a game pause every minute on the turn of the minute.

I've checked saves from earlier in the scenario and they are not pausing. I've also tried other scenario saves from the campaign and they are not pausing ...

Re: Command: Showcase Queen Elizabeth Out Now

Yeah these comments have put me off buying this. I was also expecting a small scale scenario with a focus on the QE. I prefer smaller scenarios not massive complex wars most of the time. Think I would be disappointed if I bought this.

Exception Error

Got an exception error running the beta patch when I clicked on the waypoint of a deleted flightplan that was still active on the map as planes were still airborne. Attached exception screen and log.

There is Grand Tactician: American Civil War? That is a very good game although not multiplayer. But does anyone actually play any of these games as multiplayer games?

RE: 1939 Naval Mod

<t> Going to give this mod a try tonight, thank you very much, hope it sorts out the dire naval warfare in the vanilla game. But can it be used without the counters ie with the 3d icons? Yes I second that this mod should be added to the main game, as an option, and made compatible with all campaign ...

RE: Stackable ships

<t> Sounds interesting. I do wish naval combat was better especially the scale which is just completely wrong compared to the scale of ground combat where you have a whole army division/ air squadron in a ground hex yet you have one ship in a naval hex? Really weird that is. Each carrier/battleship ...

RE: China is too strong in this game

<t> In my present game with the Chinese and Japanese both on auto the Chinese seems to be beating back the Japanese quite easily at is the start of 1940. No sign of Japan taking over China. In my last game a few years ago I played China and managed to hold off Japan well into 1943 lol, admitetdly ...

Stackable ships

Any chance we can have stackable ships in this game at some point? It really is the only thing I would like to see. The rest of the game is perfect I think. But presently battleships and carriers are far too easy to destroy without a screening fleet.

RE: Hubert what's next?

I would hope a new global WW2 game featuring stackable naval fleets. And then this could be expanded to take it into the cold war with dlc? That would be cool.

RE: Why there are no more players?

<t> I am certainly waiting for this game to get to Steam. I don't really like buying stuff on the Slitherine/Matrix sites because of the lack of refund option. I need to play this for a few hours before I decide whether to keep it or not. I just bought one old game that I used to have, luckily only ...

Timescale

<t> I see from reviews that the general turn time is one player move per month for the main campaign which would seem to indicate that the whole of WW2 should pan out in 80 turns or so. Seems a bit rushed to me if I am honest. But I was wondering do any of the other scenarios have a different ...

1. Being able to program ASW beacon drop locations - there are many times I am flying a manual route with a plane to try to find a target and I presently have to micromanage all the ASW beacon dropping. How great it would be for ...
