Yes, you can save and load the game mid-battle.

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> Another one: I'd like to be able to change the time on the LOS tools. In other words, rather than just getting LOS for the current time, I'd like to know what it will be at some time I specify. It's a bit of pain to have to make plans based on extrapolating from the current state. I very rarely ...

<r> A somewhat more far-fetched idea now:<br/> <br/> It would be very interesting to be able to turn on fog-of-war for friendly units.<br/> <br/> I envisage that the for the purposes of visibility the player would assume the role of the on-map-boss. All units would send status information to their i...

RE: Future Directions - Features

<t> I agree with your estimation of the utility of overlay drawing and I absolutely agree that planning is fundamental. Like I said in an earlier post, I often screenshot the maps and do my own planning in a paint program or I'll print them out and go the pen and paper route. I find this very useful...

RE: Future Directions - Features

<r> Of course, I agree with you both! I'd much rather resources were put into gameplay additions and updates as well as planning aids that can't be done outside the engine. The drawing layers would just be a convenience. Definitely a Would Be Nice feature, not a Requirement. <E>:-)</E><br/> <br/> Pe...

<t> Thanks for the links!<br/> <br/> However, the features listed seem to be mainly about additional layers provided by the engine, i.e. information overlays and graphics related to triggers and the like. <br/> <br/> I think we both want to be able to do our own drawing, to draw out our plans on the...

RE: Future Directions - Features

Has anyone mentioned drawing on the map yet? Both freehand and text would be excellent. Throw in some NATO symbols and I'd be one happy staff officer. :)

RE: anybody using two monitors?

No, I don't think it's possible to have any part of the game window stretching across two monitors. It appears that it's locked to one screen. It would indeed be awesome to have the map on one screen and resizeable info windows on the other (hinthint). [;)]

RE: anybody using two monitors?

<t> It's great. You can fill one monitor with the game and use the second for keeping your plans or AAR or whatever. The task switching is as smooth as with one monitor.<br/> <br/> It doesn't seem to allow the window to be stretched across two monitors, however, as I tried and failed (using the -res...

RE: Movement, another issue

<t> I think that units travel at the speed of the slowest. It may be worthwhile unticking the stragglers option to see if that helps. I think that is meant for units that need to rest but it might actually just be for slow units, which would obviously include those stopped to rest but would also inc...

RE: Scenarios?

<t> There's nothing mini about the scenarios. The game is about operational level command. I can't say I've ever missed the lack of link between one scenario and the next (although of course the scenarios are linked, being part of the same campaign, just not directly).<br/> <br/> I'm far happier tha...
