RE: Russian replacements... ~150k per turn?

Just looked it up (should have done it sooner). 34 million men fielded by the Soviets in WWII. So, is it worthwhile for the Germans to maximize casualties or go for strategic locations instead?

Russian replacements... ~150k per turn?

<t> Currently tracking a full campaign game as the Axis player. The Russians get roughly 150k men per turn consistently (as indicated by the Russian manpower OOB number). Currently at the winter of 42 (around Turn 68). At this point in time, the Russians started with about 5 million men. The Axis ...

Dealing with the magical Russian blob appearance?

<t> So I'm steamrolling my way through the Russian territory and making sweet gains (full campaign game here). Around the Turn 4/5 mark I have to pause hard as my panzers are running on fumes. That's fine because it allows the infantry to catch up after mopping up the Turn 1/2 pockets. There isn't ...

RE: Delete Saved games.

You can goto the install location of the game (wherever you installed it) and look for the save directory. Inside there you will find all your save files.

RE: How is the ai?

AI is competent. As with any AI, you can learn things about it and game the system but it takes effort to do so. The great news is, people are finding exploits or shortcomings and reporting it here. The devs are doing a bang up job addressing the issues.

RE: how to make a deliberate attack?

<t> When you select a unit and hover your mouse over a neighboring enemy unit, you see the 'quick attack' icon appear. To make a deliberate attack, do the same thing but hold SHIFT on your keyboard. You will see the 'deliberate attack' icon appear. Be sure to HOLD the SHIFT key down while you right ...

RE: play on Ipad or Tablet ?

<t> The biggest problem is the screen. Screen real estate is valuable. Shrink the screen and you shrink the amount of functionality and information a game can display at once. It calls for a complete redesign meaning things will have to get 'layered'. The problem with layering is that it cam become ...

I don't think you could optimize this game for a touch screen. The task would require a rebuild from the ground up I would imagine. There are just too many ...

This is good stuff. I'd be interested in the Allied numbers. Could you edit that information into your original post?

The EF Box is a big advantage for the axis. In a MP game I wouldn't use it again, nor will I play with it on against me. It provides the axis with their pick of reinforcements whenever they need it, and the Russians don't press very hard ...

RE: play on Ipad or Tablet ?

<t> I don't think so, no. This game requires the grunt work that only a PC can offer (storage, processing, etc.). You could host a game on your PC and perhaps use a tablet to play (via something like Splashtop) but trust me, it won't be worth it. You'd have a hard time reading anything let alone ...

<t> Does the AI do a decent job at managing the movement of airbases or should I micromanage that myself? I found that shuffling my squadrons around to forward airfields in England on T1 took an enormous amount of time and I don't think that I would want to do that again. I can handle moving ...

Guys, do a search on Smirfy. You might find it illuminating.

I've come close to toggling the 'little green button' to red. The AAR was pretty good though so I don't know.

Fine here thanks, because I assume presently everything is WAD and was more wondering how "all arm combat" could be better reflected rather than throwing 300 bren carriers and 400 6pdrs at the Gothic line.
