RE: Was it too early for CMO?

Performance wise, it seems to me much better than the previous game. And right now I am on notebook, i5-7200U with MX150 and 8GB RAM. But altough under the hood I bet is infinitely better game, I still do not like some of the changes (UI mostly) so downloading the old cmano right now.

RE: Any delusion I have had about US air superiority are shattered

<t> As others mentioned, you were probably just extremely unlucky or there was something wrong with the mission setup. There have been situations when I was really surprised at the outcome but the results are usually consistent. I have just tried 2 F-4E from 1977 (oldest US ones I found in DB, heavy ...

RE: Cost

<r> Reason for not sharing the price aside, I really do not get the complaints. You must know right now what amount of money will you be willing to spend on the game when it is released so if you have them, put them aside. It is not like the release is that far so you would have them tied up for a ...

RE: Dropping targets

Sorry it got you confused, my question from the beginning was simple (so I did not think any save was necessary), can I drop a target without it being reaquired right away? And I got answer, I was just using the game wrongly. Thread can be closed and forgotten.

RE: Dropping targets

I did that actually, but for some reason the planes did not face the target but kept flying in circles, which in case of semi-guided missiles is not a good thing. Though easily solvable by setting a waypoint.

RE: Dropping targets

<r> Ah, I was just used to less automation (have not played in several months, it must have been pretty old version of the game:). I see the targets have "auto" next them but when I target some of them via mission or F1, they get the priority. I will just have to get used to do things less directly ...

RE: Dropping targets

I will rephrase the question - is it possible to permanently drop a hostile from target list? If not, why is there a function to drop target?

RE: Dropping targets

<t> For example, I tried community scenario USS Midway vs Cuba. Launched several groups of Hornets, vectored them to the enemy planes but for some reason, they ignored group of Mig-23s (and 21s) that was closer to them and instead launched Sparrows into much further group that was no immediate ...

Dropping targets

<t> All right, I will risk the wrath of "usethesearchbuttonpeople". I did search, even manually browsed several sites of this and steam forums, looked through faq, googled and even opened manual. I am using version 972.13 and I just can´t make units drop targets. Well, they actually drop the targets ...

RE: Windows 7 vs Windows 8 performance?

<t> Although I think Win 8 is much better system than 7 (after you get rid of the metro UI), there is one rather important change if you like playing old(er) games. Win 8 handles ddraw very differently, it tries to emulate it and does a rather crappy job, many older games does not work at all, has ...

RE: Final Countdown

<r> Why not recreate the battle in Command? Instead of Japanese carriers, use, for example, HMS Illustrious and others, put some Me-109s there and voila, you have a WW2 carrier fleet. Altough not...very realistic <E>:-)</E> And be prepared for some hilarity (at least in build 486), like 8 Phoenix ...
