ICBM too low and too slow

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
in the attached save an SM-65E Atlas (#3011) is happily tunneling at 201kts and 30ft ASL (-3700 ft AGL!) through the Cascade mountains.<br/>
<br/>
You can easily reproduce it by loading the Wargasm scenario from the community pack and launching one of the ICBMs (or just open ...

RE: Weapon Altitude Ceiling Miscalculation?

<t> I experience the same issue playing Northern Inferno: Opening Moves. Vampires at 350ft are attacking TU 603.01.04, however the Sea Cats refuse to fire because "Target altitude (6032 ft AGL) is higher than the weapon's ceiling (3500 ft AGL)". The sea depth at that location is ~5700ft. Save is ...

RE: Not able to drop a contact

I can confirm that I'm able to drop the contact in 1.07RC5. Thanks.
The "Contact ... has been lost." message gets logged twice (I guess because it had to be dropped both by my side and the allied trawlers), but that's a very minor glitch.

Baloogan is it possible to get an export from your DB for all the GBUs? I've manually gone through most of them and the majority have a 3048m drop altitude.<e>[/quote]</e></QUOTE>

RE: Not able to drop a contact

Or is this the case of the Indian frigates first sharing the contact with the fishermen and the fishermen then share it back without ever detecting the contact themselves? In that case it would make sense to force them to drop the contact.

RE: Not able to drop a contact

<t> Hmm, interesting. However, I'm not sure how it applies to the save attached above.<br/>
The only friendly side are the Indian fishermen (awareness level: normal). The enemy submarine is ~75nm away, submerged at -131ft, making 2kts. My two frigates are not able to detect it, but the trawlers are ...

RE: Not able to drop a contact

<r> It is a real game issue, at lest for me <E>:)</E>. I believed that the contact and its AOU is completely wrong - checking in the editor proves me right, the sub is actually 100nm away from the edge of the AOU. So, I wanted to drop the contact and wait for it to be reacquired.<br/>

[FIXED B669] Not able to drop a contact

<t> In the attached save I have a sub contact S101 Manthatisi. The contact "age" is 7 minutes 18 seconds. The contact report shows the last ESM detection was 14 minutes ago (yes, the sub did use a radar). However, when I drop the contact (PgDn) it almost immediately reappears. I would understand ...

RE: Cape Road, 2023 -- Beta Version of Updated Scenario

I did not yet have time to finish playing the scenario, but compared to Jan's AAR in the other thread, the Manthatisi decided to use its radar allowing me to quickly pinpoint its location and destroy it at the same moment the first Gripen released its bombs.

RE: Cape Road, 2023 -- Beta Version of Updated Scenario

<r> Thanks. The Gripens are definitely much more aggressive now <E>:)</E>.<br/>
However, there is still one thing I already noticed in the previous version of the scenario: There are five Indian trawlers (Geeta, Varsha, Neha, Sita, Posha), however there are only four events for trawlers reaching ...

RE: New Scenario: Cape Road (2023)

<r> Another issue with the scenario (at least in 1.06) is that the South African Gripens never attack the trawlers. See: <URL url="http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3789527"><LINK_TEXT text="tm.asp?m=3789527">http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3789527</LINK_TEXT></URL><br/>

RE: Contact Report

Thanks.
Another situation where it would be beneficial to know which sensors currently detect a contact is ASW warfare. Knowing that a goblin is currently detected only by hull sonars & shallow sonobuoys (or only towed arrays & deep sonobuoys) would be quite valuable.

<t> It would also be great to not only see this for ESM sources, but for any detection source.<br/>

This would help greatly when I need to ...

RE: Engaged Offensive but not attacking

<t> Yes, there is a cloud layer. However, this is the enemy (non-playable) side. The Gripens are on an ASuW Patrol (Naval) trying to sink the trawlers. They even constantly change altitude, but probably never descend below the cloud layer. I saw the scenario "win itself" without me doing anything ...
