RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

Request adjustment of message log missile launch terminology to reflect US brevity, or just remove brevity altogether and say "misslie launch" with type.

VAMPIRE for anti-ship
SINGER (RWR) or SAM (visual) for S/A launches

RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

<r> The "artist concept" for the mission area color coding showed a window with colored mission names, however perhaps instead of a whole new window this color coding could just be incorporated into the OOB window mission headings, which is already a pretty good tool.<br/>

In addition to "selected/all/do not show" would like a "mouse over" setting option on applicable map display items.

RE: Real doctrines to wage air/naval warfare?

Hey man, it's alright. I can respect the fascination with seeing the real tactics play out, but on the other hand I think that the real joy of playing the game comes from sorting through he chaos and figuring the problem out yourself. That's really what the modern warfighter does anyway.

RE: Combat Radius of an air superiority fighter

<t> Do a search and you will find that an overwhelming number of factors go into aircraft performance calculations. RE: Real doctrines to wage air/naval warfare?

<t> I can't post links for a few days, but if you google "joint electronic library" there is overall US doctrine. Look in the 3-0 series for Operations. There is a "JEL+" link that says "certificate required" so it might work if you have a mil ID card; there could be more stuff on there. I'd still ...

RE: Real doctrines to wage air/naval warfare?

There's a lot of very general info out there, probably not too much of what you are looking for. Best bet is to just post your results in the AAR room, or some of your tactics in the war room and specifically ask people for feedback on your ideas.
