RE: Less is more?

Thanks very much for the transparency! Very impressive, and a good argument for supporting this engine further.

Less is more?

<t> I've been dabbling with AGEOD titles for awhile now and own most that are out there, but still only have significant experience on a couple titles. I'm thinking of picking this one up, but wanted to ask one thing:<br/> <br/> I learned on Russian Civil War Gold and also have a decent amount of ti...

RE: Dynamic Campaigns?

<t> Thanks - I appreciate the feedback. It's one of those things I guess that will have its die-hard fans. If I can make any surging speech or plea that would affect the fate of Vietnam....(insert). I can only give my perspective as a gamer, but it's a huge selling point for me. I can sure imagine t...

Dynamic Campaigns?

Hi -

I believe I got into this really early on in the life of CSME: Does it have dynamic campaigns like older titles (West Front, East Front, Rising Sun)?

Thanks!

Script-heavy AI?

<t> I was a huge fan of TOAW 2 and 3(Matrix), but one thing bothered me:<br/> <br/> It seemed like the AI was heavily script-based, so that formations were not so capable of being used by a central AI to achieve flexible, changing goals, but were more bound by objective tracks. <br/> <br/> This was ...

Grande Sandboxe?

Pardon the cheesy Napoleonics-esque subject heading...Couldn't resist [;)]

Will the Collector's Edition sandbox campaign implement any content from the DLCs? If so, what's the basic rundown?

Thanks.

RE: Last round (?) of feedback before release

<t> Glad to help. It's great to see this one come along.<br/> <br/> BTW - this round of comments is focused on the first few months of the war. After following generally historical strategy and learning the ropes (see what happens, eh?), the results are pretty...um...historical in January 1940 regar...

RE: Strategic Command UI issues and feedback

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>Hi <br/> <br/> Chapter 8 of the Manual includes descriptions of all unit types, though from reading your other post I gather you're suggesting having the text in game, like with Research? <br/> <br/> Bill <e>
</e></QUOTE> <br/> Hi Bill,<br/> <br/> Yes, I would have th...

Last round (?) of feedback before release

<t> Played through the game more towards the beginning/2nd phase of beta. I came back to it recently after the last update and have some feedback:<br/> <br/> - game seems to play more smoothly, punchier/faster<br/> - German AI initially great on offensive first turns in Poland, later less <br/> insp...

RE: Strategic Command UI issues and feedback

<t> Would be really nice to have a brief description for each unit type (2-4 sentences definitely enough) explaining briefly it's ideal role, etc. Otherwise have to wade through stats to get a good idea about how light cruisers fit <br/> into fleet composition, or what special forces do. This was on...

Further impressions (gaming after 60 mins)

<t> Some brief notes:<br/> <br/> -AI plays a good naval game. Submarine use again noted as good.<br/> -Thought I'd be a wily human and catch the game off-guard with some unconventional choices for ww2 openers (like declaring war on Luxembourg and Belgium, and attacking into Germany early from France...

First Impressions

<t> Here are some of my first impressions of the game...<br/> <br/> First off, based on my first impressions, I am really liking this one. It feels right.<br/> <br/> Very first impressions-<br/> Title screen - "Wow. This is something else." Graphics/layout/Music very impressive and stand out for a w...

War Phase Mechanic?

I've read that there's a mechanic covering the different phases/periods of the war. How does that work out?

My main concern is how dynamic the overall experience is, and if the mechanic adds to or detracts from the gaming experience in people's opinions...

Just to confirm - Does the DLC/Expansion have a sandbox campaign feature (or attach to the main game sandbox)?

DLC units in main game?

Saw the Steam daily deal, but am curious - Does OOB include the new units and mechanics in patches to the main game (editor, etc) like the Panzer Corps series does? Would want the scenarios also at some point, but wanted to check...

Panzer corps/expansions and new units

<t> I own Afrika Corps, Allied Corps, and the 44 campaign. I will probably be picking up Soviet Corps here pretty soon regardless, but my question is--<br/> <br/> In the editor at least, how are the new units handled that come with the expansions/DLCs? In other words, to get the full set of units fo...

Campaign - Different Battle Types?

<t> Have been playing a P+S campaigns game recently, and I'm not sure about one point:<br/> <br/> In skirmish mode, there are various battle types from open battle to flank march...<br/> <br/> When I play in the campaigns, I only seem to get "open battle"-type scenarios. Can you have other ones -- s...
