I just loaded it up with the beta applied and it's not giving that error anymore.

I think a major part of the argument is that dragging and dropping ships would be highly tedious. It's currently set up to move fleets. You're working with a navy, not a couple ships.

The issue would be making the game have a more welcoming few hours, but a far less easy game for long-term play.

Information is the game. That is given in numbers mostly. I prefer it look like a spreadsheet and let me work(play). I'm really glad to see they also included a bibliography in their manual. I'm always vaguely wary when they don't point to documentation for hardcore games.

I ran a verification of the files on Steam and it found 4 files needed some correction. No idea why.

As you can see, it was running in full AI mode for this battle.

It happened 2 or 3 times in one battle, but it kept running after I said OK. Didn't occur in the next battle.

I had already found a Walker so it wasn't bad at all. Without finding that, i'm sure it would be.

They went to war with me pretty quickly I seem to remember. They were pushovers though. I still have a Walker slowly going through mountains to find their base. I see no more units , but the territory is slow moving.

Good idea. I know some decisions have the option of ignore the issue. Like when there is unrest or a strike.

Are you running the lastest beta patch? It fixed a crashing issue on my laptop that is fairly capable.
