The game is best described as the fight of two greedy amoebas. Just flow around every food particle you can find, flank security or other considerations be damned :D

"But Stalin, didn't we agree to no counterattacks in the Winter.".

Looks good for you. I think you will secure the initiative in the fall and never lose it afterwards. The playstyle mist have cost the Axis a lot by now. What are the OOBs?

I don't think it is working out for the Axis. They are losing divisions to surrender in 1942 while ceding a lot of ground in the North and Centre, which means you are much closer to Berlin than usual.

What an odd playstyle. I think you are close to completely collapsing the Axis.

Re: The Sky’s the Limit- PBEM GC 41 jubjub (Axis) vs. M60A3TTS (Soviet)

Quite close to the IRL history in terms of front lines, except for Leningrad being captured.
But the Germans avoided the heavy winter 1941 losses and weren't Stalingrades, so managed to out-grind the Soviets in the end?
I wonder if it would have been better to limit Soviet attacks tonthose with ...

Basically the IRL Kiev pocket, just bigger. Always nice to see history repeating itself.

Re: What changes would you want in WITE3?

Personally I don't think there will be a WITE3, though I don't have any inside information.
This could be the last we see of this type of wargame for some time that tries to simulate on this scale with historical accuracy.
It is a shame as clearly the game has made great strides forwards since ...

Re: What happened to HLYA?

Telemecus was an elder British guy and one day stopped responding. His other accounts like his movie rating account fell silent as well.
Inquiries by some of us into IRL circles of his other interests (Georgism for example) yielded no useful information.
Therefore, the saddest possibility is the ...

As things are currently developing, game development will become much cheaper and faster soon. Which means niche games like WitE2 will become more abundant.

Re: Big Campaign. Riga on turn 1

Riga can be taken on turn one without worries.

Use only infantry to break open wide holes. Tanks can advance to far side of the river. I've seen 1 tank div take it with support multiple times.

I use 2 in a hasty b/c one time in my ancient past i failed with 1.

You can get good odds at Riga ...

I have started to write a c # application to load the exported files into an application.

My initial screen shows the HQ and its subordinates.

Clicking on an HQ in that list will give its subordinates.
My initial aims:

1. to identify HQ and its underlings.
2. To easily see the sub ...

Moscow has been captured before T10 even vs. humans. If you optimize for it, it guess you could do it T6 or 7 Vs AI as a good player? I less the AI stacks a lot of troops in Moscow.

Re: Big Campaign. Riga on turn 1

It is possible. Either with the 36th mot and 6th tanks or with the totenkopf, add to the XXXXI Corp. Add pioneers and flak, and it should be possible to break into the city. I have played Road to Leningrad several times and recommend using very few mot units near Riga. The majority should cross ...
