RE: DAK Africa placement

<t> Was not the DAK a decision made to help the Italians because they were losing. Is this not a decision the Axis player would make depending on the situation or strategy chosen from the start of the war. Therefore there should be no DAK event in the 39-40 scenarios. It is historical but if you sta...

Language change

How do you change language? Started with a FR player now it is in french. That is fine but want to play local in English.

RE: Weather in the UK

<t> Not so simple. Doubling the turns doubles the production, research, diplomacy. You will have twice as much production points to spend etc.. It would require a lot of tweaking to get it right. Basically starting from scratch to adjust everything. I dabled a bit and adjusted resource values but it...

RE: Weather in the UK

<t> I understand it is a design decision. I also do not agree with it as I have preciously posted.<br/> <br/> Is there any way to simply change the weather randomness to have more of a chance that it is the same?<br/> <br/> I know that the turns are not simultaneous in having different time periods,...

RE: DAK Africa placement

<t> There are issues withe DAK. I have started to use a strategy of trying to occupy the area around Tripoly and Benghazi if not actually taking them. This prevents the DAK of arriving which was my goal. However sometimes I did not totally succeed and a few of the DAK units arrive on the hexes not c...

RE: Garrison Surrender bug?

<r> You forget the 6 strength and experience level. When The USSR only gets 10-20 points a turn, at the beginning, not so easy to replace. Certainly not a handicap the USSR needs early on.<br/> <br/> <B><s></s>And you guys are forgetting the combat loss bug with the non 01 version.<e></e></B>...

RE: Garrison Surrender bug?

What if this bug affects other turns that we do not know about. Other things may still not be right. It does not feel like the same.

It should be fixed right away. IMHO

1.13.01 hot fix

I think there is an issue with both sides not having the hotfix when playing. Make sure you check with your opponent. Just had the same garrison problem with a new PBEM game.

PLEASE FIX

RE: Question.

<t> The basic game provides for many different strategies. The results will vary depending on your opponents choices as well. You can choose to do all of the choices as described in the 46 mod reply. All in the basic game. It all depends where you spend your money and time. It does take a lot of pla...

RE: Knocking Italy out of the war very early.

<t> My post was cryptic on purpose. The point I was trying to make, with the initial post, was not to make any game changes but to highlight the need to garrison NM cities in Italy because of the AVL threat. As mentioned most just send everything to other tasks. Wanted to let people know about the p...

RE: Knocking Italy out of the war very early.

<t> Italy is more vulnerable as a Major than any other Country. Think about it in an aggressive way. Knocking it out by early 41 is easy against an unwary opponent this is what I am getting at. A trick to use in line with London. Too many tricks in the game. AVL, AVL, AVL. Trying to point it out to ...

RE: How to make Oil Strategically vital

<t> The oil issue is a complex one. It is not only oilfields. Germany manufactured synthetic oil from coal and I believe used coal powered vehicles. They adapted. Romania was a source of 1/3rd and was increasing. Most of Geramny's transport was still horse driven. Later in the war when the Oilfields...

RE: Mass Air Groups

<t> Your example highlights the infrastructure issue. Morocco has a better infrastructure then the Allied side and should (logically) be able to support more. The Allied side has a much weaker infrastructure and therefore maybe the choice of a campaign there is a poor one. There are some places wher...

RE: Mass Air Groups

<t> I think sugar you are missing the point. The purpose is not to balance a game but to try to help fix flaws in the game. These are obvious flaws. Both players knowing all the flaws and gimmicks in the game does not make a balanced game. Knowing a game gimmick and doing a gotcha move is not a fun ...
