Re: SEAD a/c continue attacking dead radars

Okay so I repeated the test with autodetect off, and indeed that seems to be causing the issue. The a/c only waste one extra HARM, but at least don't barrage it like before. I first encountered this in another scenario, so I'm guessing the scenario author must have turned autodetect on on all the ...

Re: SEAD a/c continue attacking dead radars

So I made a couple changes to the SEAD mission. I changed WRA to one HARM from one unit. I also changed mission setting to one flight per mission attacking a SAM site. I'm not sure how much that impacted the results, but felt better adding it. A big point here is that SA-2 site has two radars and ...

Re: SEAD a/c continue attacking dead radars

Okay, so ARMs are capable of attacking non-radiating targets. Thats great. But I'm not here to debate the HARM's capability. If I want to attack a dead SAM, I'd prefer to do it manually. I don't need the AI deciding that on its own. It doesn't solve the issue that a/c will waste like 50 HARMs for ...

Re: SEAD a/c continue attacking dead radars

I don't understand. This is WAD? So HARMs are able to attack targets that are no longer radiating?

If that really is the case, then is there a way to make a SEAD patrol so that a/c do not waste missiles on targets whose radars have been destroyed? Because as it is, SEAD missions are useless if ...

SEAD a/c continue attacking dead radars

V1.06 1328.12

In the attached scenario, 4 F-16s with HARMs at Ankara are assigned to a SEAD patrol mission to take out an SA-2 and SA-5. The planes engage the SA-2 first, successfully take out both search and FC radars, and... continue pummeling it until they are out of ammo. Even unassigned planes ...

Tried it, doesn't work. For now all I can do is keep changing the font scale every time I start CMO. Would be better if you guys could make the window scrollable or something.

Re: 1282.1 Crash to Desktop or Program Freeze

I didn't add much more because there isn't anything else to go on, and its the same issue as the OP mentions. It randomly crashes at any point while playing the scenario, usually a few minutes after loading it, no error messages or the like given. I'll add that the scenario had a lot of units on ...

Re: [RESOLVED] Bottom of New Mission Planner Cut off.

Is there no way to fix this without changing my entire computer's font scaling? Is there any way to make the scaling only affect CMO?

Keyboard hotkeys for time compression no longer work.

The ctrl+shift+x and ctrl+shift+z keys to change time compression don't work in the new beta. Please fix, as this is crucial for those of us playing on laptops without numpads.

Also, please add these hotkeys in the help menu in command and the manual.

Re: Time compression without numpad

This is the patch where it was added in 2020, but it is not working, at least in the last beta.

* Added: Hotkeys to increase/decrease time acceleration for keyboards without numpad: "+" on Keypad OR +/= key OR Ctrl+Shift+X to accelerate, "-" on Keypad OR _/- key OR Ctrl+Shift+Z to decelerate ...

Re: Time compression without numpad

Thanks, but thats way too old. Looks like from the CMANO days, and doesn't mention the hotkeys I was looking for. I think it was Ctrl+z or shift+z or something like that.

Time compression without numpad

I remember one of the previous updates added the ability to accelerate time using some keyboard hotkeys for those of us without numpads. What were the hotkeys again? I'm having to ask over here as its not mentioned in the manual nor in the game help menu.

Re: CMO Public Beta - Build 1266.1

Sorry to say this, but I can't help but be disappointed that you guys fixed the altitude bug but completely ignored the speed bug that I even mentioned in the thread relating to this bug.

Edit: Okay, on further testing it looks like the speed works for every other setting except loiter.

Re: Is ARH missile's radar nerfed in Beta update?

Yeah I noticed this too. ARH missiles behave more like SARH missiles, even if the target is not notching. If the launching aircraft loses radar lock, the missile is unable to home in on the target, even if it is within its radar cone.

Sorry if I appeared mean, I'm not shunning you in any way. My point is the same, theres no need to worry as none of the core realism is going to be removed, just some extra features may be made optional which can be turned on or off depending on your realism preferences.

Calm down, you're getting waaaaaaay too deep into this, you didn't need to write a thesis about it. Don't worry, no one is gonna touch your sensor and performance settings. I enjoy realism as much as the next guy, but there are other things that would also be considered realism which some ...

I agree. Every time you guys add any new realism related features, please make them optional. Some of us enjoy a more casual gameplay experience.

Re: [1263.1] AAMs burn up fuel almost immediately

Yeah missiles definitely need some fixing. Even if the burn times are correct, some of the missiles drop speed far too quickly. If nothing else, at least short range IR missiles like the Sidewinder linger on for far far longer than they should, resulting in ridiculous 'Behind Enemy Lines' type ...
