In early game that danger is very visible. Have you played with poor home system? Finding the resources is very tedious and irritating.

But on balance I think most players would want their automated colonizers to avoid potential suicide missions even when they have manually queued a colonization target. When they get to the location the colony ship will flee from any threats anyway (default tactics). So better not to send them ...

Quite certain it's intended that you can invade colonies and capture bases without declaring war. Your empire rep takes a hit for invading colonies and for attacking civ ships if you aren't at war with an empire. I don't know how their engine renders fonts, but I've built interactive digital experiences for the last 20 years and typefaces are vector and DPI agnostic. They aren't "made for" any particular DPI although the typeface designer CAN design them around specific use cases by doing things like opening ...

I have a theory that the blurry text is an artifact of how the game renders transparency. It seems to go away when you hover on the badge and it always looks like the normal state is a bit more transparent.
