Re: Act III - DBB-C Uncivil Engineer (J) vs. christopher 1963 (A)
The maximum size is actually 115% of the carrier size (rounded down). This means Akagi can increase the squadron size up to 93 aircraft (splitting into 3 x 31), a 72 carrier can go to 82 and so on. 115% is also the maximum for launching (combat) missions. I know the game says somthing like "cho...

Re: Act III - DBB-C Uncivil Engineer (J) vs. christopher 1963 (A)
Since I see that you have increased the size of the carrier squadrons, is their a reason why you chose to increase them to 72? Is that a "perfect size" in some way I have not figured out yet or is their a different reason? I would usually increase them to their maximum size (and Zuikaku co...

Re: Kantai Kessen: A Sparrowhawk26 vs J LongLance93
As long as the Port or Airfield is still damaged (most likely from the crusier bombardment) the enemy can not rebuild the fort. I would maybe wait just before the base is repaired or your forces are ready (so that no fort building can be done while your disruption/fatigue gets reduced as much as pos...

Re: Making the last Beta Official
I would guess that this has to do with production being turned off for this scenario since ship building is part of the production system (shipyard points are also at 0). Taking a quick look I also noticed that ships with a further away arrival date dont come closer to arrival. Interestingly, some o...

Re: WitPTracker AE Release 1.11 Available!
I just wanted to let people know that I solved my question about differences with values of some devices. Apparently I forgot to delete some of the database data when copying tracker and setting it up for for the beta version, and the data was correct for v1.01.26a and changed to version v1127Beta. ...

But why I have two different executables for the game with two different game functions is beyond a bit surprising. It was said that their are two different versions of the game because one of them had problems with Win 11, see this post. what does War in the Pacific Admiral Edition_noLLA.exe do? I...

Re: WitPTracker AE Release 1.11 Available!
Not sure if this was already mentioned since I have not read this whole thread, but to me it looks like some specific data base numbers shown in the game do not match up with the numbers tracker gives. When I was looking through some ships, specifically japanese (light) Crusiers, I was a bit disapo...

Re: Blocking the Straits of Johor and tips on assaulting Singapore
I did not mean to use paratroopers to block the retreat, and I think this would only work if they actually conquer the base since they should not take control over any hexsides. I consider dropping small para groups (less than a whole unit) to force a surrender and let 20 men control a 40 x 40 mile...

Re: NEW SCENS FEEDBACK
Thx for the quick response. When I purchased the game, I did the intial install and then (from the Matrix page) installed the 1127 beta (supposed to be inclusive). Currently running version 1.8.11.27.2 Randy To be clear, fresh install means that you chose a new folder (like WITP:AE_beta), install t...

Re: Blocking the Straits of Johor and tips on assaulting Singapore
Use your parachute units to drop on Singapore so don't have to worry about crossing a bridge . . . When reading this I think I briefly remember something about getting a attack bonus when dropping paras into a hex. Could someone please refresh my memory on how this works/the effect it has and could...

When selecting a scenario, they first show up as modified. When selecting them again, they show up as normal. Re: Dutch AVP Arend: Scenario 1 Exploits
I noticed an interesting aspect of selection the missions GVT-17 were ordered to fly. If flying Naval Search they were armed with 250kg SAP Bombs. If flying Naval Attack they carried 205kg GP Bombs. I would not think too much about them showing GP bombs for naval attack. Looking at the D3A1 Val, it...

Re: New! v1127 Public Beta Available
While doing some late war testing with the downfall senario, I found some unexpected behavior when the Ohka has not arrived. Before the arrival date of the Ohka 22, the P1Y3 Frances is not flying attack missions (I mainly tried port and airfield attack). They were flying recon and naval search (conf...

Section 7.2.1.2.1 and 7.2.1.3.1 (Misson type by aircraft for day/night) Some missions listed here are not available in game (like City attack a...

Re: Do fighter escorts automatically sweep when escorting bomber attacks?
I think it is done by setting the bombers to Naval Attack in the morning and AF or Port attack in the afternoon. The sweepers have the entire morning to sweep the target. That is one way to do it but then the defending fighters can get damage repaired, and reserves activated but I was referring to ...
