I don't understand how no one has a copy of 2.0. Is modding just dying for older games? Civ 4 had a super vibrant modding community that released some really cool mods from different universes yet it's also just as dead as DWU is. So I don't know if this mod specifically is what is causing it or maybe it is the DWUR Mod I use with this, but I can't seem to change the pictures of my ships, as soon as I do it reverts to the default one. It's somewhat annoying since Bacon mod suggests I can use multiple pics for the same class ...

Don't bother, it's nothing you did. I've been doing some investigation myself on an older backup computer with DW already installed (didn't want to mess-up my present DW set-up) and I believe it's the expansion mod that's changed ...

It's really only a hassle if you like to design different sub-types of destroyers or whatever and want to have them visually different, otherwise it's not that bothersome or game-breaking.


You know...I do remember when either Alvek or Bacon introduced that feature of multiple ship graphics ...

It's a problem with DWUR. The multiple-ship pics works with vanilla bacon/expansion mod, just not with DWUR for some reason even if you do change them to escort1, escort2 etc.


Hrmm...definitely not something I did intentionally :oops:

Maybe it's how DWUR works with ExpansionMod / BaconMod ...

I was playing on 1400 stars with what I think was a 15x15 grid... or maybe 10x10... with 19 other empires.

I am not that bothered if I win or not, I just like to view my progress from time to time which is why I put that victory condition on.
