<t>This kind of stuff is exactly why I liked the PTO games for the Super Nintendo. Those games gave you total control over production. You got to choose what class of warship you wanted to build, you got to choose what type of plane you wanted to build, and yes, you even got to 'design' your own shi...

<t>Well, I think the answer he is looking for is a no, the MG34 is not subject to more breakdowns. This is not for historical reasons, but because I believe SPWAW breakdowns happen on a flat rate, based on country and year and maybe even troop experience, and then it is factored in how much you actu...

<t>Allright, 60000 sounds like a big number, but how many of those were started and aborted later for one reason or another? How many of those were people downloading it again, for whatever reason? And how many people downloaded it, but don't play it anymore?<br/> I am going to guess that we should ...

<t>A historical requisition process will probably not be in this game, ever. Its far too much work, and its probably easier to build a new game to make this a totally built in feature.<br/> I think that for you to have been wiped out beyond repair, you probably need some work on your tactics. Frogmen would be nice, but they would be special forces engineers with sniper like invisibility and amphibious movement. Talk about your jack of all trades. There would have to be an entirely new class.

<t>Yeah, its got a load of bad points, mostly the details of all the major features, but there are a ton of those basic features that I would like to see in WITP. Honestly though, there is not much to compare it to. I can honestly say it is the best pacific war game that I have ever played. And cons...

<t>Personally, I am all for upping the carrying capacity of tanks to carry large amounts of infantry. There are quite a few situations where it would be incredibly useful to carry troops on tanks, bringing reinforcement units to the front being the most obvious. There is already a large kill penalty...

<t>Well, late 50s/early 60s would not involve any air cavalry doctrine. That really was not developed until Vietnam. Gunships also were few and far between in the late 50s to early 60s. <br/> As for Patton, well, he was a tanker. He would have been driving armor, not directing helicopter assaults.<b...

<t>I will start off by saying that I have never played Pacific War, nor do I know what Matrix did to improve it. I have read through the messages here, and I think I have a fair idea of the bigger points of the game. <br/> Now, I think that this is a game that will fill an incredibly big gap in warg...

<t>Yeah, the 'nine lives bug' is a real pain, unless its your Tigers coming back from the life. There is definitely something wrong with data transfer between host and the other player(s). Sometimes this problem results in the above mentioned bug where a unit comes back to life. Other times, you wil...

<t>Yeah, I am gonna have to agree with the rest here. The Soviet report cannot be taken at face value. Either it was pure propaganda, or it was a bunch of green tankers (green to tigers anyways) driving a foreign tank, probably at full throttle, more than the tank was intended to be driven at. If th...

Try heavy artillery. They may not knock out the fort if it is a heavy fort, but they can knock out the mines, and they can suppress the forts in the process. Just keep your forces back and let the arty do the work. And don't forget to use smoke and other such los obscuring methods.
