<t>After all the confusion over which files belonged where, I had so many copied in multible places that I decided to uninstall SPWAW v7.0 and start over. Also, I had many useless files left over from so many previous updates. So I copied a folder set up to hold unplayed scenarios that I had ...

<t>Since the .wav files belong in the main snd folder does this mean that all the .lbm files should be moved to the main pic folder? I tried reinstalling Watchtower to the Matrixgames/Steel Panthers World at War folder. The .wav files ended up in the main snd folder, but the .lbm files ended up in ...

<t>I received the Watchtower mega campaign disk and loaded the megacampaign. I had to move some files up one directory to get it to work. I only have this campaign. I now have three folders in the megacampaign directory, Operation Watchtower 42, save and snd. The Operation Watchtower 42.cfg file is ...

<t>I have the occassional vehicle get stuck and immobilized. Sometimes they become mobile again. One of the features that I like. On the other hand, I have never had a weapon that suffered a breakdown get fixed. Even if the unit was no where near combat or the enemy. So I finally turned off the ...

Thank all of you for the clarification. I did save the game so I can complete it. I guess the best way to end a solitaire scenario is to use WAWED.EXE to edit the saved scenario to reduce its turns to the next turn. Thank again.

Surrender -F9 key

<t>I was playing a game against the AI in solataire mode. I still held most of the objectives as the USSR versus the Germans at Kharkov. The German tank losses exceeded mine. I even had knocked out 2 Tigers. (I won't get into PZIIIL v. T-34 encounters) The maunal says that surrendering is like ...

<t>First, I think that SPW@W is a great game. I trust Mr. Vebber and Matrix Games to come up with the most realistic oob's possible. I mentioned SPWW2 because it is a good game. (overall I like SPW@W better, but play both) In it and SP1, the T-34 was always a match for PzIIIs with the 50L42 gun, but ...

<t>I just read this thread for the first time. I will not get into the various guns' penetration and various armor amounts. However, I have played SpW@W and SPWW2 since the first versions of each came out. I always play the Soviets against the Germans. In SPWW2, my Soviet tanks even T34's have ...

Rally function in ver. 7.0

<t>I am playing the scenario "Water to Blood." The rally function is performing differently than in the past versions of SPW@W. When I hit the "R" key the unit attempts to rally until the icon on the right turns dark. Once it turns dark hitting the "R" key does nothing as in the past. However, when ...

My 4meg video card is an old Monster card which raises the 2 meg embedded in my computer to 4meg. I have never had good results with it. So I will keep the 8 meg card. It cured the slow tank shell problem. Be sure that you have the acceleration enabled.

Thank all of you for your suggestions. When I reinstalled my 8meg ATI video card and reinstalled its drivers the problem went away. Suprisingly shutting down Norton system doctor did not matter. Apparently SPW@W 6.1 requires at least 8 meg of video.

<t>I have my movement set to "xxx." The tank shells travel very slowly across the scene and the splash when they impact rises slowly. It is like they are in slow motion. All other movement is normal. This has been getting worse over time. I have tried various hardware acceleration levels with no ...

Travel speed of tank shells

<t>Recently, while playing SPW@W 6.1 on solitaire mode I have noticed that the travel speed of the tsnk shells has become very slow. The infantry and tanks travel at the same rate, but the shells take a long time to get to their target. I was wondering if anyone has has this experience and might ...
