RE: News from the Beta - Deviation List

<t> The big rules no shows here are:

Force March - This can be key, especially in the instance of rapidly reinforcing a weak army that is vulnerable to attack.

New Political Combinations - Some of these are very important. The Confederation of the Rhine and Kingdom of Italy ...

RE: Combat System -- John Lynn's Model

Holy cow! I didn't realize he had any more books out. I had the privelige to take two courses from Prof. Lynn while I was at U of I, they were easily the two best courses I took while I was there.

RE: 12.10 Turkish Options

<t> I always thought Tu was a very interesting play. As someone pointed out, you really need to be a politician though. The Turks have a few advantages:
1) They should have cav superiority in all of their battles.
2) They have some decent leaders, but Pechlivan Khan is better than ...

If you guys call Pippin nasty, don't play in our group. We have guys who build cavalry (not in large numbers, just 1's and 2's) simply to add options during the reinforcement phase.
Seriously, I present two names for discussion:
Bennigsen
and
Hohenlohe
Bennigsen for choosing a defensive position with a river to his back.
Hohenlohe for standing an entire corps of ...

I am all for upgrading EiA, HOWEVER, the way to do it is by building it up from the main game. Create the basic game, which would be a direct EiA port (with all the ...

<t>I agree Yorlum.

Also, in regards to bidding, that is part of this game. Some people want to play France, sometimes several, and sometimes the only way to resolve this is by bidding. Additionally, bidding also levels the playing field. If I remember correctly, France needs 400 VPs to ...
