RE: War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition is discounted by 50 percent!

Can you tell me if the version now on sale is the most current version and if the color manual has been updated to match?

Thanks!

Guidance Requested On Best Mods

<t> Hi. I have been away from the game for a couple years. Just returned to the game and the forum and note that there a lot of mods out here and different files and scenarios. I know this is a bit of a pain, but can I get a little guidance from you guys about what the must have mods/scenarios are a...

Question About Attacking

<t> Hi, Just got the game and working on getting to know it better. A couple of questions - I note the AI will attack (shown by red arrows) on a single hex. Is it stacking those units it attacks with to gain better odds or is it attacking a single different unit against the same target unit several ...

My Hero Has Passed

<t> Hi, <br/> <br/> I am a long time reader of this forum, an occasional beta tester, and very infrequent poster here. I just wanted to drop a note to let you all know my uncle, who served with the 136 infantry regiment in the pacific war from 1943-46 passed yesterday suddenly. He was 87. To me he w...

RE: Observations from a Steam owner

<t> I am glad you guys are going to give it a try. As I said it is fun, and it has a lot of cool things going for it. Let me know if you have further questions. I think a lot of folks will hold off based on the versions already out on the street and I think that would be a mistake. Glad I could help...

RE: Observations from a Steam owner

<t> The Matrix edition is improved as I think Eric and Sean have already pointed out in other threads. I was a beta tester for this game (Matrix Edition) and I agree with rosseau's general comments about the version he played and would point out that the Matrix version an improvement over the origin...

RE: Battle Resolution Question

Thanks for the reply. I was worried this might screw up the database somehow. This could be a real timesaver in the opening move, which, if you were to run it out could be about 2 hours to execute.

Battle Resolution Question

If I were to hit the end button while an air battle is taking place, will that have an ill effect on the game?

Install Trouble

I purchased HTTR via mail order from Matrix a couple of years ago - for some reason niether my CD or DVD drives will read this disk and then let me run the install. I have a WIN XP system and up to this point I had no trouble. Ideas welcome.

Thanks,

RE: A request on behalf of new Japanses Players

<t> Thanks for the input everyone. Mogami also emailed me on this too. His advice is pretty much like yours - jump in and do it. I suppose in a sense, that is what the smaller scenarios are for. Also, there will be some mistakes along the way, so best to learn from them. Some great advice in this th...

My thought was to set up a turn against the AI and then save the game prior to execution of the turn. Make sense?

A request on behalf of new Japanses Players

<t> Hello,<br/> <br/> I do not post often but I have been following these boards for sometime. I am one of those folks who plays the AI (due to time constraints and not wanting to drag out a PBEM game rudely with another person - not much freetime with work) almost exclusively as the Allies. I am no...

Question on Editor

Hi,

If I want to add the names of a few folks I know as pilots to the grand campaign, do I need to use a slot that is already occupied by a pilot or can I use a blank one?

Thanks,

RE: For Spooky: My New Scenario and Mods

<t> Tanaka,<br/> <br/> I am confused. Did you update your Fanboy scenario and where is it on Spooky's page? Is it the download under the 11/24/04 on his front page? You need to assign some version control or number to identify what is the current version. Just want to be current before I start.<br/>...

RE: Question for Tanaka

Tanaka,

Thanks for the reply. I have said it elsewhere here, but I am going to run the long scenario as the Japanese - starting this Tuesday. I have chosen yours to be the one I run with.

Thanks for posting it.

Question for Tanaka

Tanaka,

Spooky has alot of your stuff posted at his site. Can you give me a rundown on what all he has posted, what is current, and what we need to run your scen 32? This is getting confusing. Please break it down for me.

Thanks,

Russ
